Just an update on the Steward training, We have things a little more in concrete now.
The training will be on Saturday 5/5/12 starting at 8:00am and lasting approximately 6 hours.
This training is conducted by our International representatives.
There will be coffee & donuts in the morning and a lunch provided in the afternoon, all members
are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Please call the office at 513-541-6200 to get your name on the list so we know how many people to
plan for.

Encase you didn't know it already, there is an election coming up later this year, and part of our job
here is to inform our members about Labor friendly and unfriendly candidates running for political
offices, and also to inform them of Legislation that will be on the ballot that could benefit them or
could be harmful to them in the workplace, and at the bargaining table.
Below is an attachment of one of those mean spirited attempts to get Anti Labor Legislation on the
ballot in November, so be careful, just because the headlines sound good doesn't mean the whole
article is.
The Trojans thought the Trojan horse was a gift from the Greeks too.

I KNOW, I KNOW!! Its been awhile but we have been fairly busy, and if you don't believe that, then
you should have been at the regular monthly meeting last night.
I'm sure everyone has heard about units at Beckjord station shutting down and a surplus of
members being reassigned to Miami Fort & Zimmer stations with approximately 20 being given a
job assignment back at Beckjord to operate units 4 & 5 in this way seniority was protected, and
there were no layoffs, I know our Brothers & Sisters on the Distribution side deal with surplus
situations more often, but this is a first for Generation.
We have been trying to organize some Steward training, and right now it looks like early May, this
will be available for all Members, Stewards & Officers with coffee & donuts in the morning & a lunch
provided in the afternoon, we will let everyone know the exact date & time as soon as we have one.

not hard, I did it yesterday, Thanks to Brother Ray Fowee for this information.
